Nov 28 morning, the construction of the Future Campus of Soochow University, located in Wujiang District Taihu New City was officially started.
Last December, Wujiang District People''s Government and Soochow University reached an agreement to jointly carry out the construction of the Future Campus of Soochow University. According to the introduction, the Future Campus of Soochow University is planned to cover an area of 1000 mu, with a planned undergraduate population of no less than 6000. The first phase of the campus project is planned to complete the construction of the comprehensive building in 2021 and officially recruit students. In May 2023, it will be completed and put into use!
It is reported that the Future Campus of Soochow University will focus on creating colleges, research institutes, original centers and humanities platforms for data and artificial intelligence, new engineering, life science, new textile, cultural construction and social governance, and plan to form the first phase of the new campus with "Art + engineering".
At present, Soochow University is actively promoting in-depth cooperation with top international education resources, attracting and integrating high-quality resources at home and abroad, promoting cooperation between Chinese and foreign schools, and building its Future Campus into a campus with global influence.
