East China’s Jiangsu province will step up its effort for the campaign to stay true to the Party’s founding mission among all the Party members, according to a meeting of the leading group of the provincial party committee on staying true to the Party’s founding mission. The meeting was held Friday in Nanjing, capital city of Jiangsu.
Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, presided over the meeting.
Among other leaders present at the meeting were Wu Zhenglong, Ren Zhenhe, Jiang Zhuoqing and Guo Wenqi.
The important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping has provided the important follow-up for the start of the second stage of the themed education of staying true to the Party’s founding mission, according to a statement released after the meeting.
Party organizations at all levels in Jiangsu are urged to strengthen the Party's consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment with the party from the political height of safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core so as to implement the General Secretary’s instructions on the work of Jiangsu, the statement said.
It was stressed that the first stage of the education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission" had been concluded while the second stage had just begun, the statement said.
The meeting called for efforts focused on dealing with the most urgent problems facing the people, according to the statement.
It is important to keep alignment with the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristic for the new era, make Party members and officials remain true to the original aspiration and undertake their mission, and strive to advance the great cause that the martyrs fought and sacrificed themselves for, according to the statement.
The provincial leaders are urged to give supervisions to the themed education campaign at the grassroots level so as to bring into full play their responsibilities, the statement said.
The provincial office in charge of the themed education campaign should give full play to its coordinating role by summing up the mature experiences and popularize good practices across the province, the statement said.
The Communist Party of China Central Committee has launched the campaign in a bid to arm the whole Party with the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, advance Party building in the new era, maintaining the Party's close ties with the people, as well as achieve the goals and accomplishing the tasks put forward at the 19th CPC National Congress.
The Party's fundamental purpose of whole-heartedly serving the people, and its historic mission of realizing national rejuvenation should be kept firmly in mind.
The campaign is supposed to adhere to high standards and strict demands, push Party members to rectify and adjust themselves with a clear purpose, avoid the practice of formalities for formalities' sake and bureaucracy, and help solve major problems that the people are strongly concerned about.
The campaign will educate and guide all Party members and officials to deepen their understanding of the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the major policies of the CPC Central Committee, as well as to strengthen their beliefs of Marxism and socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Through the campaign, CPC members should foster perseverance, think what the people are thinking and work together with the people, he said, adding that the campaign also aims to resolutely prevent and crack down on corruption.
