Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, went on an inspection tour Wednesday morning to the provincial traffic police headquarters and the police checkpoint at the second Yangtze River Bridge in Nanjing to inspect road traffic and passenger transport security.
Wu Zhenglong watched through the video screens the traffic conditions on the expressways, the Yangtze River bridges and scenic areas.
He talked through the video with the police at the Yangcheng Lake service station to convey his greetings to the officers.
At the checkpoint at the second Yangtze River Bridge in Nanjing, the governor boarded a coach traveling from Siyang County to Nanjing to learn about the security measures.
He asked the officials to take precautionary measures to ensure traffic security during the National Day holiday by cracking down on traffic violations such as speeding and overloading.
Wu Zhenglong also visited the general duty office of the provincial government to make inquiry into the preparedness for work safety during the holiday.
