East China’s Jiangsu province launched a job fair exclusively for college graduates in 2020. 103 universities from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan and Nanjing communicated with more than 500 enterprises and institutions in Nanjing. Overseas universities, leading Chinese universities and colleges in the field of science and engineering were extremely popular with the enterprises. Statistics show that over the past year or so, the number of graduates from Jiangsu universities who have come to Nanjing for employment has reached 73,000, ranking first among all the provinces. Other regions in the province have also introduced policies and measures to promote employment and attract talents. In 2019, Jiangsu registered 562,000 college graduates and 287,000 of them were employed in Jiangsu. In order to better serve the graduates, this year Jiangsu will also launch a smart employment network platform to accurately monitor the employment situation and promote supply and demand matching.
