The Yangtze River Delta will brace for a passenger travel peak as the summer vacation is about to come to an end. Railway authorities have started to increase additional ticket windows and strengthen the maintenance on ticket vending machines in a bid to cope with the travel rush. The daily volume of passengers in the Yangtze River Delta has averaged 15000 since mid-August. The peak of the travel rush is expected come on August 31 when about 130000 students will hit the railway. As of August 20, 665000 railway tickets had been sold out in the Yangtze River Delta.
