Static acceptance is a step that must be experienced before a new railway is opened to traffic. At the construction site of the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng Railway, a 225-meter contact network inspection vehicle was laid on the rails while the staff braved the high temperature for testing.
The Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai'an-Yancheng Railway is one of the most important railway arteries in the hinterland of Jiangsu. With a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour, the railway is expected to be completed in December 2019 in conjunction with the Lianyungang-Huai'an section of the Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang Railway.
A swivel bridge on the right line of the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang railway was joined Thursday morning. The 2326-meter-long bridge is the country’s first double-width swivel bridge that is built over the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway.
Construction is quite risky due to the busy traffic along the high-speed rail.
The bridge rotated 35 degrees and achieved precise docking in the air in about one hour. The smooth joining of the swivel bridge also laid an important foundation for the smooth construction of beam along the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang railway.
