Line 3 of Suzhou Metro began the no-passenger trial operation on August 18 in the count-down to the official opening. Four rail transit lines in Jiangsu Province are in operation test and will open soon.

"Line 3 is currently equipped with 50 trains. According to regulations, each train must drive for 2,000 kilometers before putting into operation,” said Liu Feike, a section chief at the Suzhou Rail Transit Group.

The east-west Line 3 connects the high-tech Zone, Gusu District, Wuzhong District and industrial park. The 45.2-kilometer-long line, with a total of 37 stations all underground, starts from the railway station in Suzhou high-tech zone and ends at Weiting station in industrial park. It has four interchange stations. Together with the east-west Line 3, Line 3 offers important support to the main axis of urban development in Suzhou.

They start from the Suzhou New District Railway Station and finally the Weiting Station in the industrial park. There are 4 stations on the whole line that can be interchanged with existing lines.
