Some 100 students from 40 domestic and foreign universities, such as Nanjing University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the University of Technology Sydney, are participating the “New Network Computing in the Age of Big Data” summer workshop that opened in Nanjing on August 14.
The 10-day study hosted by Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications will include 27 learning activities. The university has invited well-known experts, scholars, engineers, and teachers from relevant fields at home and abroad to provide high-level academic lectures or short courses for the students, offering a platform for students to discuss frontier issues.
This summer workshop will eventually select 30 “outstanding students,” who can get a priority in the secondary examination when applying for the Master’s and PhD programs at the university.
