Suzhou Women's Federation has recently launched the "Map of Mother's Love" on its official WeChat account, helping breastfeeding moms to easily find the 266 public nursing rooms across the city.
Also with information about women and children's homes and marriage mediation sites, the map comes in handy for those who may need services.
Public nursing rooms, an important part of the city's public services, reflects the level of civilization and internationalization. Since 2016, Suzhou Women's Federation has started the construction of public breastfeeding rooms in the city from many aspects, such as legislation, implementation of practical projects, and smooth improvement of facilities.
In 2018, the Guidelines for the Construction of Breastfeeding Facilities in Public Places, drafted by Suzhou Women's Federation, rose to become the provincial standard amid the support of Jiangsu Provincial Women's Federation. In the same year, Suzhou launched the planning for breastfeeding rooms in public places at the first stage, and now substantial progress has been made.
