Recently, the launching ceremony of the Eighth Wuxi Micro Film Festival, jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, Cyberspace Administration of CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, Wuxi Municipal Culture, Radio and Tourism Bureau and Wuxi Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, was held in Wuxi Big World Cineplex I-MAX Theatre, providing a stage for film lovers to fully display their talents.
"The growth of Wuxi Micro Film Festival is obvious to all." According to Lu Zhiqiang, General Manager of Wuxi Cultural Development Group Co., Ltd., the first micro film festival only had more than a dozen entries, but in recent years, it has grown to 100 entries a year. Nowadays, the influence of micro film festival has gone beyond Wuxi, and the submitted works from outside the province and even abroad is getting more, including micro films produced by professional studios and influential micro film works on the Internet.
Reportedly, this year's micro film festival will be combined with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, adding a section of "Themed Micro Film", aiming to tell the story of Wuxi's struggle, great changes in times and great achievements in the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the reform and development in the fields of network information security, cultural tourism and ecological environment protection through multi-angle and three-dimensional film lens.
