A swivel bridge on the right line of the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang railway was joined Thursday morning. The 2326-meter-long bridge is the country’s first double-width swivel bridge that is built over the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway. Construction is quite risky due to the busy traffic along the high-speed rail. The bridge rotated 35 degrees and achieved precise docking in the air in about one hour. The smooth joining of the swivel bridge also laid an important foundation for the smooth construction of beam along the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang railway.
