Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, went on an inspection tour Wednesday to Suzhou Industrial Park and some enterprises in Xiangcheng District.
When visiting InnoLight Technology (Suzhou) Ltd., Wu inquired about the company’s sales volume last year, its domestic market shares and the realization of the policies on tax and fee reduction.
He was pleased to be informed that the company has maintained steady growth and increased its employment recently.
Wu Zhenglong encouraged the company to give full play to the strategic base of technological innovation, make more breakthroughs in key core technologies, continuously explore diversified international markets, and seize the opportunities and win the initiative in the fierce market competition.
During his visit to Safran Aircraft Engine Co. Ltd, the governor made a careful inquiry into the company’s production, its market distributions and its product performances.
He was pleased to be told that the company has been introducing one set of new equipment each week into its Suzhou base and will increase further investment on technology breakthroughs.
Wu spoke highly of Safran’s strategic vision in choosing Suzhou as the investment destination, adding that Suzhou is located in the Yangtze River Delta, the country’s most developed region, which has recently received a major boost from the overlapping effects of the national strategies.
The Governor promised that Jiangsu will expand its opening up and reform to create a better future by joining hands with domestic and foreign enterprises.
