Splendid China--Jiangsu Embroidery Art Exhibition was held Friday at the China National Art Museum in Beijing.
Sponsored by the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association, the Publicity Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Federation of Literature and Art, the exhibition showcased 61 embroidery masterpieces that cover all kinds of embroidery categories in Jiangsu as well as those from Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan and Hangzhou.
It displays the basic features of Chinese embroidery and the creativity, innovation and vitality of contemporary embroidery since the founding of New China. The exhibition will last until July 28th.
