Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, went on an inspection tour to Huai’an city and Suqian city on Tuesday and Wednesday to learn about the promotion of the campaign for a comprehensively well-off society by visiting the rural areas, schools, hospitals and enterprises.
Wu Zhenglong visited a community healthcare center and a primary school in Suqian to gain a detailed understanding of the access to hospitals and schools.
He demanded that efforts should be made to take the people-oriented approach, make up for the weaknesses in the supply of high-quality resources for basic education and enhance the ability of primary healthcare services so as to effectively manage the education and medical and health undertakings to live up to people expectations.
When visiting Xinzhuang Town, Suqian City, Wu Zhenglong urged the township government to focus on the general requirements of industrial prosperity, ecological livability, rural civilization, effective governance, and affluent life, respect the wishes of the people and give full play to its unique advantages so as to make improvement in rural living environment, public services, cultural undertakings, and social governance for the farmers’ better life.
During his visit to Kecheng Technology Co., Ltd., Wu Zhenglong learned about the company’s operation, encouraging the company to strengthen its confidence, take a long-term view, and make full use of the advantages of a good business environment to achieve the successful development of its own development in the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
At Yanghe Liquor Co. Ltd, Wu Zhenglong hoped that the liquor makers will adhere to the drive of innovation, carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship, and better meet the diverse and multi-level needs of the consumers.
During his visit to Santaishan Forest Park, the Governor learned about the ecological restoration and industrial development.
He also inspected some rivers in Huai'an City and Suqian City, as well as rural sewage treatment facilities, requiring attention be paid to the outstanding problems of water pollution by making targeted efforts so as to combat water pollution for a cleaner water system.
When presiding over a symposium, Wu Zhenglong was briefed on education, healthcare, targeted poverty alleviation, talent introduction, agricultural pollution prevention and control, the supply of water for irrigation and the reduction of taxes and fees at the grassroots level.
He demanded that more efforts should be made to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the work in Jiangsu, integrate the ongoing theme education of staying true to the Party’s founding mission, solve the most realistic and urgent problems for the people, stimulate the initiative and creativity of the whole society, and make further contribution to the construction of a new Jiangsu.
