The Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou high speech railway is undergoing environmental assessment before its construction gets underway. The railway, designed with a maximum speed of 350 km per hour, starts from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway in the east and ends at Huzhou city in the west. Six stations will be built along the rail track. The railway will cut the commute time from Shanghai to Huzhou to 20 minutes.
Construction of the Changzhou-Taizhou Yangtze River Bridge has got the go-ahead from the provincial development and reform commission.
The 1176m cable-stayed railway-highway bridge will have a steel arch main span of 388m, setting a new world record.
Construction on the Shenghong Refining and Chemical Integration Port Storage Project Terminal Project started Wednesday morning in Lianyungang city. The province’s first 300,000-ton crude oil berth is located in Xuwei Port Area of Lianyungang Port. With a total investment of 2.68 billion yuan and a designed annual handling capacity of 17.4 million tons, the crude oil berth will ensure seamless connection with the terminal and tank area upon its operation in 2021. The project is expected to enhance the international competitiveness and play an active role for the industrial linkage of Lianyungang Petrochemical Industrial Base.
