  Certificate of Origin of BRI countries was highly increased in Changzhou in the first half of 2019. Changzhou customs has issued 19422 copies of Certificate of Origin of BRI countries under preferential trade arrangements, up 13.02% year on year. The goods value reached $1.134 billion, up 21.55% year on year. The issue of Certificate of Origin is expected to save 662 million yuan in the tariff costs.

  Certificate of Origin is called the "economic passport" of export products. So as to effectively stabilize customers and open up new markets, exporting enterprises can obtain the preferential tariff of corresponding products in the importing countries by providing certificate of origin according to relevant trade agreements. Countries along the BRI is one of the most important markets of Changzhou enterprises. Many enterprises use the certificate of origin to improve the competitiveness of products in related countries. Chenfeng (jiangsu) Garment Co., Ltd. is a garment manufacturer whose main export markets are Japan, the United States and other countries. In recent years, the company has actively explored the markets of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, increased exports to Vietnam, India, Indonesia and other countries, and obtained 282 certificates in the first half of 2019, saving about 5.84 million yuan in tariff costs.
