Suzhou New and High-tech Zone invited officials from the Japanese Consulate General in Shanghai and the National Development and Reform Commission to attend a seminar and contribute ideas on the promotion of the Shishan Business Innovation Zone into a business highland for innovation development and Japanese-funded enterprises under the context of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. The Suzhou New and High-tech Zone Administration and the Shanghai Stock Exchange signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. Suzhou China-Japan Innovation Valley was also unveiled at the seminar. A number of projects were signed to bring a total investment of 17.4 billion yuan.
