East China’s Jiangsu province has released its medium and long-term youth development plan in a bid to educate the youth in line with the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era.
The plan proposes that it is important to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, strengthen the party's leadership over the youth, highlight the development of the youth from a strategic perspective, and strengthen the coordination of party’s leadership, the government, social organizations and people from all walks of life so as to continuously improve the youth development policy system and working mechanism that features Jiangsu characteristics and takes the lead in the country.
The plan calls for the establishment of a systematic and complete youth development policy system from the perspective of promoting the all-round development of Jiangsu youth.
In light of the actual situation in Jiangsu, the plan has identified 10 development areas such as ideology and morality, and put forward 12 key projects such as the socialist core values of the young people that cater to the needs of the youth.
