Guo Yuanqiang, deputy governor of Jiangsu Province, attended the opening ceremony for the province’s activities during the National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week in Yangzhou City on June 13.
At the opening ceremony, Jiangsu announced 42 new provincial-level entrepreneurship and innovation bases.
Yangzhou also demonstrated the development strides as a “National Small and Micro Enterprises Entrepreneurship and Innovation Base.”
Meanwhile, the 2019 Jiangsu Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition and the Yangzhou Slender West Lake Maker Week were also launched.
In recent years, Jiangsu has ranked among the top in China in many indicators of innovation and entrepreneurship. From 2015 to 2018, the province assisted about 1.02 million people in urban and rural areas to successfully start businesses.
