The Jiangsu Provincial Veterans Affairs Office signed a cooperation agreement with 11 financial institutions on the provision of special care to disabled servicemen, and to family members of revolutionary martyrs and demobilized servicemen.
According to the agreement, the 11 banks will handle the application for exclusive bank cards for special care recipients, open a green channel and provide priority services.
The special care refers to the system aimed at compensating or commending the special group of people who have rendered meritorious services to the state and society.
The 11 banks are the Jiangsu branches of the Industrial and Commercial Bank, the Agricultural Bank, the Bank of China, the China Construction Bank, the Bank of Communications, the Postal Savings Bank, the China CITIC Bank, the China Everbright Bank, the China Merchants Bank, and the Industrial Bank. It also includes the Bank of Jiangsu.
These banks will set up a special window at the business outlets, post priority signs for servicemen and veterans, open green channels, provide priority services. The recipients of the special care service will also be exempt from the card issuing fees, small account management fees, interbank transfer fees, and personalized financial concessions.
The banks will also provide necessary financial and human resources support for carrying out military support activities within the framework of the agreement, and provide credit funds for qualified veterans to start businesses.
