The China-Israel Xuanwu Forum on Agricultural Technology Innovation Cooperation (Project) took place in Nanjing on May 30, when six cooperative projects signed agreements.

The six projects included three in agricultural science and technology, two in biomedicine projects, and one about artificial intelligence. Companies from China and Israel will make full use of their respective resources to create win-win cooperation in those projects.

A smart irrigation system jointly developed by Longcom Group and Israeli company Tevatronic can automatically determine the irrigation time and water amount needed.

Xu Zhenyu, president of Longcom Group, said the company has kept strategic partnership with Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Science and Nanjing Agricultural University. It also has formed deep cooperation with companies in Israel and now hopes to bring more resources for innovation to Xuanwu District, the urban centre of Nanjing, said Xu.

More than 30 Israeli companies in the fields of agricultural science and technology, artificial intelligence and biomedicine were invited to attend the forum. Representatives of companies from two countries shared their ideas for win-win cooperation through keynote speeches, round-table dialogues, project roadshows, and face-to-face talks.
