Shanghai should give full play to its leading role of promoting coordinated development while Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui should bring into full play their respective strengths so as to jointly promote the development of the entire Yangtze River Economic Belt and East China for the creation of regional clusters featuring high quality development, the statement said.
Li Qiang pointed out in his speech that a solid and shared foundation has been laid for the Yangtze River Delta integration, adding that for a long time, especially since the reform and opening up, the Yangtze River Delta region has achieved remarkable progress in coordinating the links, facilitating the exchanges, integrating urban development on the basis of cultural integration and economic integration to make the concept of integrated development become a widespread consensus.
