The third edition of Future Network Development Conference with the theme of "Global Network • Winning the Future" has a grand opening in Jiangning district of Nanjing on Wednesday. China's independently developed CNOS (China Network Operating System), which is the first large network-level Network Operating System in the world, was officially released.
At the conference, purple mountain laboratory joining efforts with Jiangsu future network innovation institute and other units, illustrated the Ultra HD video transmission scheme of WAN based on the CNOS network operating system. The 8K video of Foxconn industrial park in Shenzhen more than 1,300 km away was sent back to the conference site in real time through China Unicom's 5G network and the national future network test facility network. The performance showed the world that the long-distance, high-bandwidth and high-quality 8K Ultra HD live broadcasting based on 5G and Software Defined Network was realized for the first time in the world.
The image on the left shows a robot opening an operating door at a Foxconn factory more than 1,300 km away, but at the moment, there is no reaction from the internet-based image on the right. The CENI network-based long-distance 8K Ultra HD broadcast is clearer and more responsive.
At present, the global Internet architecture is facing great opportunities, and the network operating system is becoming the strategic point of the global network competition in the future. CNOS network operating system is the world's first large network-level network operating system which has been operated steadily in the large-scale backbone network of more than 1000 nodes in nearly 400 cities for more than 2 years, and now it is at the world’s leading level.
