Suzhou Ballet Theatre started its 12-day European tour on Apr. 28. The troupe will first give performances in Riga, Latvia, and then participate in the 26th Bydgoszcz Opera Festival in Poland. This is the first time that its original ballet work, Tang Yin, will be performed in other countries.
As the troupe’s 7th original story ballet, Tang Yin had its premiere in Suzhou in September, 2017. The ballet tells the ups and downs of Tang Yin, a famous painter in Suzhou, who was faced with the dilemma between the desire for success and the need for freedom.
