Jiang Zhuoqing, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, secretary of the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission and director of the Provincial Supervisory Committee, met Sunday in Nanjing with Dante Jimenez, chairman of the Philippine Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission.

Jiang said the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Supervision Commission of China and the Philippine Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission marks a new milestone in the anti-graft cooperation between China and the Philippines.

We will act in accordance with the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding and the requirements of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission for Supervision to actively promote mutual exchanges and continuously expand new areas of anti-corruption law enforcement cooperation between the two sides.

Jimenez said that he hopes to gain an in-depth understanding of China's anti-corruption work through his visit to Jiangsu and other places, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of anti-corruption, and promote shared progress in anti-corruption.
In October 2017, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the creation of Presidential Anti-corruption Commission through Executive Order No. 43. The newly formed commission is tasked with investigating administrative charges particularly graft and corruption cases involving presidential appointees.
