12 thematic forums and an entrepreneur summit were held Thursday in Beijing ahead of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
Chinese and foreign guests attending the thematic forums said that the Belt and Road initiative has provided unprecedented opportunities for international cooperation.
The twelve thematic forums produced a number of high-volume results and promoted a number of pragmatic cooperation projects. It has also grasped the development trend of the global economy, industry and science and technology, pointed out the direction and connotation of the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road”, and helps to benchmark the international rules and best practices for sustainable development.
The first entrepreneurial conference attracted more than 900 Chinese and foreign companies from 88 countries and regions around the world. A number of international cooperation projects were promoted. They involved wide fields, wide coverage of countries and strong demonstration effects.
The second Belt and Road Forum, which started Thursday in Beijing, offers an opportunity for doubters to better understand why the initiative has drawn interest across the globe, and they are welcome to jump on board.
