Construction on major investment projects are in full swing in various parts of the province. Let’s take a close look.
In the Yangzhou Yizheng Automobile Industrial Park, construction on the Phase II project of Shanghai Volkswagen Yizheng plant is in full swing.
Shanghai Volkswagen Yizheng plant, which was put into production in 2012, produces 60 vehicles per hour, which means that in every minute, a Volkswagen new car rolls off the assembly line.
A contract was signed at the end of last year on the phase II project of the Shanghai Volkswagen Yizheng plant with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.
Some traditional fuel vehicles and some new energy vehicles will be produced here. This is the first new energy vehicle manufacturing base built by SAIC Volkswagen outside its headquarters in Shanghai.
The second phase of SAIC Volkswagen Yizheng plant is expected to be completed and put into production in the first half of 2021. By then, 800,000 vehicles will roll off the assembly lines in Yizheng to produce 100 million yuan in invoice sales and 10 billion yuan in tax revenue, making it the largest passenger car production base in Jiangsu.
In the Xuzhou Economic Development Zone, the Zhongke Zhixin project, which covers an area of 50 mu, is under construction and is expected to be completed in the second half of this year.
As a company with a total investment of 2 billion yuan in semiconductor packaging and testing design and manufacturing, Zhongke Zhixin will register an annual production capacity of 120,000 pieces of 12-inch precision film with 1.2 million pieces to be produced after the second phase is put into production.
The production capacity of the film is expected to achieve a sales income of 3.2 billion yuan. Based on the Zhongke Zhixin project, the Xuzhou Economic Development Zone will continue to improve the integrated industrial chain of IC manufacturing and semiconductor packaging and testing.
