East China’s Jiangsu province will make unremitting efforts to promote high quality development under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era so as to make the final spurt for building a comprehensively well-off society in an all-round way and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China with outstanding achievements. The remarks were made by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, when addressing the 2018 commendation conference held Monday in Nanjing.
Lou Qinjian spoke highly of the fruitful achievements of the province's high-quality development, pointing out that in the past year, Jiangsu implemented the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, guided and promoted high-quality development with comprehensive assessment, formed a broad consensus and made conscious action for high-quality development so that it has solved a series of long-standing problems and unbalanced development and made steady economic and social development by tightening the macro environment.
He pointed out that greater efforts should be made to continuously optimize and improve the comprehensive assessment system, place more emphasis on the development of quality requirements, focus on grasping the law in the method, mobilize the enthusiasm in the application of results, and better lead the promotion of high quality development.
The CPC Provincial chief stressed that it is important to use the quality of party building to guarantee and promote high quality development, adding that Party committees at all levels must constantly improve the party building assessment from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and unite around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core so as to promote high-quality development and accelerate the construction of a new Jiangsu.
