The 2019 Zhou Enlai Reading Festival will run from April 20 with the launching ceremony planned in the cultural corridor along the Li Canal and 300,000 coupons to be given to citizens for purchasing books.
Founded in 2010, the Zhou Enlai Reading Festival has become one of the three reading activities in Jiangsu Province.
Yang Jing, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Huai’an Committee, said, under the theme of "Reading Makes Yourself Better," this festival has invited 19 top publishing houses from Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Liaoning and Fujian, who will present 8,000 types of books, including the selected and best-sellers. Readers will enjoy a discount of 20 to 50 percent in purchase.
