The 11th Venture Week for International Elites will get underway in the Jiangsu industrial powerhouse of Suzhou from July 10 to 12, according to a press conference of the city’s government on March 28.
Projects to be showed at this year's event will involve 28 themes in nine fields. Organizers of the event will invite high-caliber individuals or teams with projects, technologies or fund to visit Suzhou for cooperation and exchange.
Besides the main venue at the Suzhou International Expo Center, the Venture Week activities will also be held in county-level cities and districts. The Venture Week events will also be held in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, from May to June this year.
To further expand its global presence, organizers will host a total of 12 competitions in regions with developed industries and innovation hubs, such as in North America, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Israel and Singapore.
Among other initiatives, the Venture Week will strengthen the domestic influences, explore the establishment of the first batch of Suzhou talent stations, and organize the first domestic industrial competition.
The Venture Week for International Elites, launched in 2009, has become an important platform for Suzhou to bring together top talents and high-quality projects from across the world for the city’s development.
