China’s first regional standard for intelligent elderly care will take effect on March 30 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province amid efforts to accelerate the standardization and improve the services for elderly people.
The standard, formulated by Wuxi Civil Affairs Bureau, is also recognized at the provincial level in Jiangsu.
This standard is applicable to the overall planning, construction management and evaluation of elderly care initiatives by both civil affairs department and service providing agencies. It stipulates the concept, structure, technical requirements and functions among other topics, considers issues related to hardware, software and third-party supervision, and puts forward specific requirements from eight aspects including communication, data fusion and smart application. The standard envisions the synchronized quality feedback, real-time evaluation and information sharing in elderly care service around the clock, showing the indicators of position, status, time length and frequency.
