The Provincial Department of Commerce has recently formulated the "520 Action Plan" for consumption upgrade in 2019. The "520 Action Plan" clarifies the five expected targets for this year's consumption upgrade, including the steady growth of total retail sales of consumer goods, the improvement of the pilot project for the renovation of the Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street in Nanjing, and the promotion of a number of enterprises to carry out provincial-level supply chain innovation and application pilots, the increase of the province's online retail sales by more than 20%, the upgrading of 100 farmer's markets and the construction of 1,500 community commercial convenience outlets. In order to ensure that the goals are met, the province will implement 20 key measures such as continuing to carry out consumption promotion activities, cultivating and building regional consumption centers, and accelerating the construction of a credit system.
