A celebration was hosted in Nanjing Tech Pukou campus Tuesday afternoon to mark the St. Patrick’s Day which is to celebrate the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Thoughts and inspirations were being exchanged between Nanjing Tech and Technological University Dublin, Tallaght(/ ˈ t æ l ə /)
Campus as well under the light-hearted atmosphere.
Hosted by Consulate General of Ireland to Shanghai and Nanjing Tech, this celebration welcomed Ms. Healy, Consul General of Ireland to Shanghai and representatives from both Nanjing Tech and TUD. Around 200 students were also present to embrace Irish culture. Addressing the audience, Ms. Healy introduced the tradition and legacy of St. Patrick’s Day.

Bringing Irish culture to Nanjing, Ms. Healy also noted that this was a good opportunity for the universities in both Jiangsu and Ireland to know more about each other and strengthen friendship. Ms. Stella Browne, Director of International Affairs, Technological University Dublin, Tallaght Campus, was also on the delegation and elaborated on the expected cooperation.
