The Tourists Center in Lili Town of Wujiang District, Suzhou city opened two inter-provincial bus routes on March 6, allowing passengers to reach the tourist attraction directly and pay the fare, 5 yuan, with mobile phone.
The buses connect Lili Town with Qingpu District of Shanghai and Xitang Ancient Town in Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province respectively. Wujiang, Qingpu and Jiashan are adjacent to each other and share similar cultures. Lili, Zhujiajiao and Xitang are also famous tourist attractions.
The two bus routes not only meet the travel needs of people from neighboring areas but also provided better public transportation services in the region.
Wujiang has eight inter-provincial direct bus routes now, linking the district closely with areas including Qingpu, Xitang, Wuzhen and Nanxun, forming a convenient transportation network when joined with conventional bus routes.
Sun Xuelong, director of the Wujiang District Transportation Bureau, said that Wujiang will continue efforts to increase and optimize bus services to better connect with current provincial and inter-provincial routes as well as rail transit lines.
