39 large investment projects were launched Thursday in Huaqiao town of Kunshan city to bring a total of 10 billion yuan, which will help to boost the province’s docking with Shanghai and accelerate the integration into the Yangtze River Delta.
The 39 projects are expected to yield nearly 50 billion yuan of annual turnover when they are put into production.
9 investment projects were signed on the spot with combined investment of 3.04 billion yuan, which is expected to generate 24.98 billion yuan of annual turnover.
Construction on 30 large investment projects got underway with a combined investment of 10.08 billion yuan to be injected into the headquarter economy, big data, and intelligent manufacturing. They will jointly yield an annual turnover of 23.8 billion yuan.
The National Krypton Space Headquarters project will further promote the transformation and upgrading of regional industries.
Huaqiao, as the province’s bridgehead neighboring Shanghai, is accelerating the development of headquarters economy, new technology, new industry, new business forms and new businessmodesso as to create a prototypearea for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
Since the beginning of 2018, China has quickened the pace to promote the integration in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Local authorities in China's Yangtze River Delta region signed a memorandum of cooperation last June to jointly promote the market integration in the region, marking a step further towards the regional integration.
Under the memorandum, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui will gradually realize unified market rules, credit governance, and market supervision under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation, and jointly promote the integration of market systems in the Yangtze River Delta region.
In addition to the local action, the National Development and Reform Commission is now compiling a plan for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, representing the top-level design for the regional development.
