Jiangsu released a guideline to promote the healthy and sustainable development of mobile Internet, local media reported on February 3.
According to the guideline, Jiangsu will finish building the 5G trial network across the province and launch the commercial use of 5G at a large scale in 2020, when major public spaces in urban areas above the county level will ensure a full coverage of free Wifi.
By 2025, Jiangsu’s infrastructure and service of mobile Internet will take a leading role in the world and some key core technologies are of the international advanced level. The province will promote the comprehensive use of mobile Internet in social governance, public service and other fields.
In addition, mobile Internet will be free and fully accessible in public spaces such as airports, railway stations, cultural facilities and commercial areas.
