According to the government work report, Jiangsu will make further efforts for targeted poverty alleviation so as to lift 600000 needy people out of poverty.

The accelerated pace of the construction of a modern integrated transportation system is highlighted in this year's Government Work Report.

Sun Wei, a deputy from Jiangsu Transportation Design and Research Institute, said that there is still a certain imbalance in the overall construction of transportation infrastructure in the province, making it necessary to further accelerate the integration of transportation resources, fill the gaps, and promote the development of high-quality transportation in the province.

The deputies also hailed the progresses made in medical care system, educational reform and the relocation of farmers in north Jiangsu into resettlement quarters.
