East China’s Jiangsu province ushered in the new year with the launch of major investment projects while construction projects are in full swing across the province.
The city of Wuxi kicked off the construction on 8 key road and bridge projects with a total mileage of 30.79 kilometers. Li Xiaomin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony. When completed, the eight key road and bridge projects will give rise to a new pattern of integrated development between Wuxi and its suburban county Yixing.
The county of Xiangshui kicked off the construction on 12 large investment projects totaling 16 billion yuan.
The Suzhou Industrial Park Human Resources Service Industrial Park was unveiled on Wednesday. At present, it has attracted 81 well-known human resources service agencies at home and abroad. In the next three years, the park will also focus on talent introduction, talent training, industry incubation, and human resources big data services to turn out a total output value of 30 billion yuan.
At 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, with the long sound of the high-speed rail-laying machine, the workers laid the last pair of 500-meter long rails safely and smoothly on the bed of the ballastless track, signaling the end of the 82-kilometer track-laying work in the Huai'an territory of the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng Railway.
The 316-meter-long railway, running through the province's east-west direction and dubbed the Golden Belt, will seamlessly connect Xuzhou, Suqian, Huai'an and Yancheng.
At present, work on the underground projects such as bridges and sub-grades have been basically completed. 42% of the design of the main line has been completed. Construction has got underway on the station buildings and station yards of 6 new passenger stations such as Yancheng and Suqian.
