CPC committees in east China’s Jiangsu province have earnestly conveyed the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Party Committee by stating that they would seek breakthroughs in key tasks and create a new situation of high-quality development to greet the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China with outstanding achievements.
The Seventh Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Xuzhou Municipal Committee proposed to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system that supports high-quality development, unswervingly persist in accelerating the development of Xuzhou into a central city in the Huaihai Economic Zone and enhance the capacity of urban development by adhering to the people-centered development thinking for the improvement of people's livelihood and well-being.
The Seventh Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Nantong Municipal Committee stated that it is necessary to focus on the city’s role as a strategic fulcrum of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and a northern gateway city of Shanghai by launching major and large-scale projects, improving industrial development, urban services and transportation so as to lay a decisive foundation for the final sprint of building a well-off society at a high level.
The Third Session of the Seventh Session of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee proposed that the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi and the decision-making of the central government should be implemented at a higher position, and the construction of the "one district and two zones" should be promoted at a faster pace. Greater efforts should be made to ensure the operation of the high-speed railway, and the "158" backbone enterprise cultivation project. It also urged the city to promote the establishment of a national civilized city with more practical measures with more achievements of the rural revitalization strategy and the launch of major investment projects in an intensive way.
The Seventh Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee proposed that it is necessary to follow the goal of high-quality development in the forefront of the province and deepening the coastal development, enhancing the integration with Shanghai, promoting green transformation and green leap so as to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, transportation system and urban system. Greater efforts will be made to promote the battle against poverty, promote entrepreneurial employment and enrich the people for the constant improvement of the people’s sense of gain.
The Eighth Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Zhenjiang Municipal Committee stated that in 2019 the city will prioritize industrial project construction, focus on strengthening scientific and technological innovation capabilities, build a modern industrial system and an integrated transportation system, promote rural revitalization, and accelerate the improvement of people's livelihood by making the promotion of public service an important measure to improve people's well-being and taking greater strides in the new journey of high quality development.
