The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee’s committee on comprehensively deepening reform held its 4th plenary session on Thursday to convey the gist of the reform plans made by the CPC Central Committee and review three reform documents. Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, presided over the meeting. Lou is also director of the leading group of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee’s committee on comprehensively deepening reform.
The meeting reviewed the "Opinions on Further Improving the Provincial-level Coordination of Basic Endowment Insurance for Corporate Employees".
The meeting stressed that in accordance with the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, further improving the provincial level basic endowment insurance for corporate employees is an important measure to improve people's livelihood.
It is important to enhance political stance, implement the central pension fund transfer system, and promote the balance of regional pension insurance burden and social fairness and justice, according to a statement released after the meeting.
Jiangsu will exert its utmost efforts to systematically plan and promote the whole process of the reform, and improve the provincial-level overall planning system for basic endowment insurance and related reforms, promote the reform of various measures, and enhance the sustainability of the basic endowment insurance system, the statement said.
The meeting reviewed the Implementation Opinions on Strengthening and Improving the Management of Reliefs for Vagrants and Beggars.
It is an important duty of the party committee and government to timely and effectively rescue the vagrants and beggars who live on wind pudding and an important part of safeguarding and improving people's livelihood, the statement said.
Government at all levels should carry out special investigations in the near future to eliminate hidden dangers in a timely manner and effectively protect the personal safety and basic life of the vagrants and beggars so as to ensure that vagrants and beggars receive timely and effective rescue services, said the statement.
The meeting reviewed the "Implementation Opinions on Further Strengthening the Integrity Construction of Scientific Research in the Province", pointing out that it is very important to strengthen the construction of scientific research integrity and ensure zero tolerance for cases of breaching research integrity.
