Soochow University
Nanjing University and Soochow University ranked 3rd and 9th respectively among Chinese mainland universities in the latest Nature Index ranking in 2018, Jiangsu media reported on Nov. 16.
The Nature Index mainly calculates the number of research papers published by 82 renowned scientific research journals, including the Nature series, Science, and Cell in the previous year in the fields of chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, life sciences, and physics.
First released in November 2014, it has become one of the most important indicators for evaluating the high-level academic achievements of research institutions worldwide.
Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nanjing University stood out as top three on Chinese mainland.
Nanjing University and Soochow University ranked 11th and 46th worldwide respectively.
