Yancheng has built a total of 1.5 million kilowatts of installed offshore wind power capacity, ranking first in China.
Located in the eastern part of China and bordering the Yellow Sea, Yancheng has vast tidal flat resources and marine resources. Its coastline and tidal flats account for 61 percent and 67 percent of the total in Jiangsu respectively.
Yancheng has built six offshore wind farms. With state approval, the city has a total installed capacity of offshore wind power of 1.7 million kilowatts in construction, and another 500,000 kilowatts to be constructed.
