Images can record history and solidify time. Today, at the Memorial Hall for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by the Japanese Invaders, a special video exhibition met the audience. The exhibition entitled "History, Peace and Development, Nanjing Photo Exhibition by John Magee and His Grandson Chris Magee has two protagonists. One is John Magee, one of the founders of the Nanking Safety Zone who photographed the Nanjing Massacre to produce the only dynamic image that has been preserved to this day. The other is his grandson, Chris Magee. As a professional photographer, Chris has visited Nanjing on multiple occasions to trace the people and places that appeared in his grandfather’s image to carry out a dialogue across time and space.
