Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province welcomed its first Fuxing bullet train on the afternoon of December 5, which will run on the Qingdao-Yancheng Railway before being put into use on the railway linking Yancheng North and Beijing South stations.
Now under a safety assessment to prepare for the upcoming opening, the railway was a combination of the new Qingdao-Lianyungang Railway and the new Lianyungang-Yancheng Railway upon the approval of the China Railway Corporation in this June. Starting from the eastern coastal city of Qingdao in Shandong Province, the 428-kilometer railway line passes Rizhao and Lianyungang cities to reach Yancheng North station. The Fuxing (Rejuvenation)trains are a substantial upgrade on China’s previous Hexie (Harmony) bullet trains.
