143 primary schools from across the country, including Nanjing Langyalu Primary School and Beijing East Road Primary School, announced their intention for resource sharing at the first Principal Summit of the National Alliance of Famous Schools held in Nanjing Thursday morning.
The primary schools that form the National Alliance of Famous Schools are mostly established schools of long history equipped with excellent teaching staff and empowered with rich curriculum resources.
They include Nanjing Langyalu Primary School, Nanjing Lixue Primary School, Nanjing East Road Primary School, Hangzhou Chongwen Experimental School, and the Primary School Affiliated with Beijing Experimental School.
After the establishment of the alliance, in addition to the sharing of curriculum resources, the teachers will also organize teacher exchange programs, such as setting up senior teacher studios to promote the development of young teachers in the alliance or arranging for famed teachers to join the staffs of the schools in the alliance.
In the future, the alliance will jointly promote the "principal returning to classroom" teaching reform, let the children of primary schools to be able to recite 300 poems and highlight the cultivation of competency for Chinese classics.
