Lou Qinjian, secretary of the Provincial Party Secretary, presided over a special symposium recently to study and implement General Xi Jinping's important guiding spirit for supporting the regional integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta as a national strategy and address the province’s development orientation and path under the national strategy.
Lou Qinjian stressed that the Yangtze River Delta region has complementary advantages, shared interests, and cultural connections. Jiangsu should actively develop its strengths and complement its strengths, and work with the neighboring provincial-level regions to play a greater role in enhancing the overall competitiveness of the Yangtze River Delta region.

The CPC Provincial Chief stressed that it is necessary to keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s expectation for Jiangsu to make pioneering exploration for the development of the country, find a correct position, optimize the path, make bold efforts, strive for reform and opening up, gain the upper hand in coordinated development so as to bring into full play the advantages of its real economy, make up for the weakness of its transportation system and make the participation in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta the most important and urgent task for the province.
He also called for greater efforts to strengthen systematic research in terms of infrastructure integration, policy diffusion integration, regional market integration, social governance integration, and public service integration so as to exert its utmost efforts to ensure that the province ranks at the forefront in promoting the development of higher quality integration in the Yangtze River Delta region.
