Chinese detective Dr. Henry Chang-Yu Lee is going to marry Jiang Xiaping, a Yangzhou entrepreneur and writer whom Lee has known for years, at Litchfield county of Connecticut on December 1. They only invited their children, relatives and friends to the wedding, and they planned to settle in Connecticut after the marriage.

Born in Rugao city of Jiangsu Province, forensic scientist Henry Chang-Yu Lee is the Chief Emeritus for Scientific Services of Connecticut, a full-time professor of forensic medicine and a tenured professor of the University of New Haven.
Born in Yangzhou city of Jiangsu Province, Jiang Xiaping has earned the MBA degree. Now she is the chairman of Jiadi Group (Hong Kong) Limited, and the vice director of Creative Committee of the Research Centre of Asian Film and Media. Except for service designing, manufacturing and nursing, Ms. Jiang has dedicated to literature for years including novels and plays, one of which is Phoenix Nirvana, a 30-episode TV show scenario of 850,000 words in which Lee shows.
According to Ms. Jiang’s remembrance, she and Lee had first met in an overseas Chinese’s chamber activity, and they got along well with each other since their hometowns are quite close.
One thing happened in 2007 that Jiang can never forget about, is an American garment agent had placed a huge order at her factory but refused to pay after the goods were shipped out. Finally, after 5 flights to America in 8 months and with Lee’s help, Jiang took back the goods and saved her factory. “In 2011, on September 25, a businesswoman cried on the phone because she had been swindled just like I had.” Jiang recalled that she has thought about writing from that day on. Afterwards, she ran her business in the daytime, and wrote stories under the lamp at night. Ultimately, all the sheets of script accumulated into a complete book Phoenix Nirvana.
One thing remarkable is that Lee is one of the protagonists in the book Phoenix Nirvana. In 2016, Lee deliberately flied from America to Shanghai to attend the signing of the book.
