The Jiangsu Provincial Committee of CPPCC convened a chairpersons meeting on Monday to covey the spirit of the important speeches made by Wang Yang, chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC during his inspection tour to Jiangsu. The meeting was presided over by Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the Provincial Committee of CPPCC.
Huang conveyed the spirit of Chairman Wang Yang’s important speech before saying that the Provincial Committee of CPPCChas carried out a study campaignin accordance with the unified arrangements of the CPPCC and the requirements of the provincial party committee to organize the provincial, municipal and county level CPPCC committees to study and discuss the important ideological activities of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening and improving the work of the CPPCC. The study campaign has come up with remarkable and effective results, she added.
She reiterated the importance of upholding the authority and unified, centralized leadership of the CPC Central Committee in the promotion of the work of the CPPCC.
The chairwoman also called for new breakthroughs to be made in the CPPCC work in the era of innovation so as to make new contributions the province’s high-quality development and the construction of new Jiangsu and honor the 70th anniversary of the founding of the CPPCC with excellent performances.
Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference or CPPCC, made a research tour to Jiangsu Province last Wednesday and Thursday on the implementation of the religious policy of the Communist Party of China.
During the tour, Wang also held a symposium on the work of the CPPCC National Committee and visited enterprises with investments from Taiwan.
