Experts from home and abroad put forth their suggestions on promoting the construction of innovative cities with a global vision at the 2018 Zijin Mountain Innovation Summit and the 10th Anniversary Forum of the Pilot City of Science and Technology System Reform that was held in Nanjing on Friday.
Nearly 300 representatives from universities, research institutes, high-tech parks, new R&D institutions and other organizations attended the summit that is themed on deepening reform and opening up and building innovative cities.
The summit reviewed and summarized the experience of Nanjing as the country’s only pilot city for comprehensive reform of the science and technology system in the past 10 years, and analyzed the vision of the global innovation pioneers such as Silicon Valley and Shenzhen. At the same time, the experts also focused on the new direction of innovative urban development and new initiatives in the combination of science and technology and economy.
The Zijin Mountain Innovation Summit will be held on a regular basis in the future. The city will also team up with well-known think tanks and other institutions to publish research findings.
