A golden autumn chrysanthemum exhibition of Suzhou gardens was launched on Oct. 31 in the Lion Grove Garden and will last until Nov. 30.
There are more than 100 pots of rare chrysanthemums, 30 bonsais, and 40-plus flower arrangement works in the main halls of the garden. And 56 bundled sculptures of chrysanthemums are displayed in the courtyards, the most eye-catching ones being a 7-meter high tower-shaped piece, a 5-meter long cliff-shaped piece and a chrysanthemum globe consisting of a thousand flowers. In addition, there are more than 10,000 pots of independent chrysanthemums, showing the beauty of each variety.
The Lion Grove Garden has hosted the chrysanthemum exhibition for about 20 times since the 1960s.
